The present utility model relates to processes of producing seaweed based pastillas to a process of producing pastillas de guso comprising the steps of washing and cleaning fresh seaweed, soaking, blending, cooking, mixing with skimmed milk and condensed milk,molding, rolling in sugar, wrapping and packaging. The present process produces seaweed based pastillas which is more healthy and nutritious than plain pastillas made from powdered milk. This is value added product from marine resources is a healthy version of pastillas due to the seaweed added with better texture and sensory quality. This is a dessert or snack item for school children and health conscious individuals. The product is safe to consume for four to seven days when stored at room temperature without changes in its sensory quality.
