The invention relates to a multipurpose hospital bed intended for patients who need short- or long-time bed immobilization, such as patients suffering from various neurological problems, patients after spine fracture surgery, pelvis fracture or lower limb fracture surgery or patients suffering from other diseases requiring bed immobilization. According to the invention, the bed consists of a body (B) which is a metallic hospital bed made of three segments: a first mobile segment for the head and thorax, a second segment as a pelvis and thighs support and a third segment having mounted a sliding mechanism for the plate which covers the toilet, the three segments being covered with stainless steel plates on top of which there is a sponge mattress (14) protected by an impervious tarpaulin (17) convertible, upon need, into a tub for a patients bath, and a body ( C) which is an assembly comprising the following elements: a toilet body (20) provided with a metal cover, a shredding and pumping apparatus (26), such as "SANIPOMP", a bidet (11) integrated within the toilet, a bedpan (9) provided with a flexible tube (12) having an extremity fixed in the toilet and a wooden plate (22) on which all the above-mentioned elements are fixed with screws, the claimed multipurpose hospital bed resulting by assembling the bodies (B) and (C) and additionally comprising an up- and down-moving mechanism which is manually actuated by two cranks, i.e. a right crank (13a) and a left crank (13b), and an air heater used to heat the air around the bed when the temperature drops below 20°C.Invenţia se referă la un pat de spital multifuncţional destinat bolnavilor care necesită o imobilizare la pat de scurtă sau lungă durată, cum sunt, de exemplu, bolnavii cu probleme neurologice de diferite forme, bolnavii operaţi pentru fracturi de coloană vertebrală, de bazin sau de membre inferioare, sau bolnavii cu alte afecţiuni, imobilizaţi la pat.
