The present invention provides a method for extracting a region of interest of teeth in CT images. The method for extracting a region of interest of teeth in CT images comprises the steps of: calculating an average Hounsfield unit (HU) value by averaging an HU value for each pixel included in a plurality of CT images and generating an average map in which the average HU value is mapped to each pixel； generating a weighting mask in which weights are set for each region； extracting a tooth candidate region in which a weighted sum of a product of the average HU value and the weights are maximized while the weighting mask moves in the average map； generating a binary mask in which a threshold is applied to the weighting mask； and extracting a region of interest of teeth by applying the binary mask with regard to the tooth candidate region.본 발명은, 복수의 CT 영상에 포함된 각 픽셀 마다 HU값을 평균하여 평균 HU값을 산출하고, 평균 HU값이 각 픽셀에 맵핑되는 에버리지맵을 생성하는 단계와, 영역 별로 가중치가 설정되는 가중 마스크를 생성하는 단계와, 에버리지맵 상에서 가중 마스크를 이동하면서, 평균 HU값 및 가중치의 곱을 합한 가중합이 최대가 되는 치아 후보 영역을 추출하는 단계와, 가중 마스크에 임계치가 적용되는 이진 마스크를 생성하는 단계와, 치아 후보 영역에 대하여 이진 마스크를 적용하여 치아 관심 영역을 추출하는 단계를 포함하는 CT 영상에서 치아 관심 영역 추출 방법을 제공한다.
