<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means for specifically detecting Prunus persica in high sensitivity by differentiating the Prunus persica from other fruit of close species even from a sample containing a plurality of plant species. <P>SOLUTION: The primer set for detecting the Prunus persica by specifically amplifying a DNA fragment originated from trnS-trnG intergenic spacer gene of the Prunus persica is constituted of an oligonucleotide having a specific base sequence, and an oligonucleotide having another specific base sequence (with the proviso that a primer set constituted of an oligonucleotide having a combination of specified base sequences is excluded). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
