PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet food which suppresses insulin secretion by inhibiting a rapid elevation of a blood glucose level after eating, prevents a deterioration in palatability and realizes the prevention of fat accumulation in a body.
SOLUTION: The pet food consists of a carbohydrate containing part (A) having less than 5 wt.% of fat and oil content and a fat and oil containing part (B) having less than 2 wt.% of carbohydrate content.
