PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for inkjet recording which is excellent in dischargeability of ink, fixability of an image to a recording medium and glossiness of a printed matter.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous ink for inkjet recording containing pigment particles and polyester resin particles. The pigment particles contain a pigment and a polyester resin (A) in a mass ratio [pigment/polyester resin (A)] of 55/45 to 90/10 and the mass ratio [pigment/polyester resin(A+B)] of the pigment in the pigment particles to the total amount of the polyester resin (A) in the pigment particles and a polyester resin (B) constituting the polyester resin particles is 10/90 to 40/60.
