PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for inkjet recording excellent in fixability and preservability of gloss of a printed matter and an image, and to provide a method for producing the aqueous ink for inkjet recording.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous ink for inkjet recording containing a coloring agent and polyester-based resin particles. The polyester-based resin particles contain an amorphous polyester-based resin(A) having an amorphous polyester moiety having a glass transition temperature of 40°C or more and 90°C or less and a crystalline polyester resin (B) as a polyester-based resin constituting the polyester-based resin particles and the mass ratio [the amorphous polyester-based resin(A)/the crystalline polyester resin (B)] of the amorphous polyester-based resin(A) to the crystalline polyester resin (B) is 55/45 to 97/3.
