PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microneedle array holding medicine only at the tip end of a microneedle, and a method for manufacturing the microneedle array.SOLUTION: The microneedle array holding medicine only at the tip end of the microneedle is manufactured by: (a) producing the microneedle array using a biodegradable polymer as the material (b) preparing a solution of the medicine to be attached at the tip end of the microneedle array (c) immersing the tip end of the microneedle array into the solution (d) raising the microneedle array from the solution and (e) drying the microneedle array. The solution of the medicine is increased in viscosity when a biodegradable polymer is dissolved in the solution besides the medicine, and the medicine is integrally taken in the tip end of the microneedle with the biodegradable polymer. The medicine is prevented from peeling off alone upon stabbing since the medicine attached to the tip end is integrated with the microneedle.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、マイクロニードルの先端部のみに薬物を保持させたマイクロニードルアレイとその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】マイクロニードルの先端部のみに薬物を保持させたマイクロニードルアレイは、a)生分解性高分子を素材としてマイクロニードルアレイを作成し、b)該マイクロニードルアレイ先端に付着させる薬物の溶液を作成し、c)該マイクロニードルアレイの先端を該溶液に浸漬させ、d)該マイクロニードルアレイを該溶液から引き上げ、e)該マイクロニードルアレイを乾燥させて製造する。このとき前記薬物の溶液には該薬物のほか該生分解性高分子をも溶解して該溶液の粘度を高くし、前記薬物を生分解性高分子と共に一体的にマイクロニードル先端部に取り込ませる。先端に付着した薬物はマイクロニードルと一体的となり、刺入に際し薬物のみが剥がれ落ちることがない。【選択図】図1
