Interface system for three computer interface electronic cards for teaching purposes - has external programmable interface card in which various processors can be plugged
The system consists of three cards(1,2,3), one of which(1) is connected inside a desktop computer and is connected to the two others(2,3) which are arranged in a flat formation. One of the cards, the CPU card(2) includes several programmable interface modules connected in parallel and having common input/outputs. The connection between the cards is made via two connectors (4,5)and (6,7). The first (4,5) feeds in signals from the microprocessor bus. The second Application card (2) is directly connected to the input/output parallel interface. The connectors (4,5,6,7) are arranged on the upper face of the cards(2,3). Various CPU's can be plugged into the CPU card one at a time such as 68000 which can use receive signals from 6820 and 68230 programmable interfaces. USE - For teaching students use of 68000 processors with their associated programmable interfaces using signals from 386 computer.
