The invention relates to bicomponent copolymers to be used in pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries. According to the invention, the copolymers are obtained by the coupling reaction of the poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) having amino terminal groups of enhanced reactivity, using as a condensation agent 1,3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethyl-carbodiimide, with sodium alginate, at mixing ratios between the components of 3/1, 1.3/1 and 1/3, while stirring at the ambient temperature for 24 h, at a pH value of 8, thereby resulting thermo- and pH-sensitive grafted copolymers.
