PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the height of the upper horizontal member of a side rail from increasing during storage while satisfying a size specified in the IEC standards and the like.SOLUTION: The foldable side rail is provided with a plurality of support members 2 turnably connected so as to form parallel linking mechanism between the upper horizontal member 1u and the lower horizontal member 1d, and a holding mechanism 5 holding the support members in a standing posture.
