The use of multipotent adult stems cells for treating an injury, dysfunction, disorder or disease. The cells are not embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells or germ cells but can differentiate into at least one cell type from the endodermal, ectodermal and mesodermal embryonic lineages. The cells express telomerase and oct3/4 and are of allogenic or xenogenic origin. The cells are not used with an immunosuppressant or with an immunosuppressive therapy. The injury or disease can be a bone disorder or fracture age-related disease or injuries inflammatory and auto-immune disorders tissue damage, trauma, abnormal development or degeneration and hereditary or congenital disorders.
