PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure a fat thickness in a portion contacting with a measuring electrode out of the human body, when the measuring electrode contacts with the human body.
SOLUTION: The subcutaneous fat thickness Lf in the portion contacting with the measuring electrode out of the human body is found based on a phase difference between a current flowing in a current route from one of electrodes to the other electrode via the human body out of the first current supplying electrode 12a and the second current supplying electrode 12b, and a voltage measured by the first voltage measuring part 30, by perceiving a difference in generation manners of phase differences as to a fat layer and a muscle layer.
