The present invention provides a composition for promoting growth of dermal papilla cells; the composition is characterized by using a serum-free culture medium to culture cells for a certain number of days to obtain cytokines; subjecting to multiple freezing/thawing cycles to destroy the cells to obtain more polypeptide mixture, which is then concentrated and desalted to obtain a composition of a particular molecular weight, wherein the composition has the effect of promoting growth of dermal papilla cells. Compared to dermal papilla cells in preliminary pre-experiment, the growth rate is increased approximately by 5 to 50%.
