PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of frozen rice ball food is provided to enable eaters to feel the taste of immediately cooked rice, and to have a long expiration date without any use of preservatives.CONSTITUTION: Seasoned rice(10) is prepared by cooking and cooling rice to be stirred with seasoning water including vinegar and sugar. Side dish materials(20) for rice balls are prepared and cooled. The cooled seasoned rice is placed into a mold having a semi-circular shape molding groove, and a concave inserting groove is formed in the central top of the seasoned rice to place the cooled side dish materials before molding the rice balls. The rice balls are discharged from the mold to be placed into a food container(4) with the bottom surface, and an opening of the container is sealed with a plastic wrap.
