PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in dental treatment wherein the number of wires in the cord increases to thicken the whole body of the cord to be an obstacle around the feet of an operator and an assistant when a unit body and a foot controller are connected by a cord to meet the demand to operate controlled objects of a dental treatment unit by foot operation (foot controller) while minimizing use of hands for the reason of sanitation.SOLUTION: The device includes the foot controller 200 having a light emitting element 201, and a dental treatment unit body 100 having a light receiving element 101, where optical communication is possible between the light emitting element 201 and the light receiving element 101. The foot controller 200 includes a changing switch 202, and as the changing switch 202 is pushed down by the foot, the controlled objects ( dental treatment chair 1, a gargling bowl 3, a shadowless lamp 4, etc) or the like provided on the unit body 100 are switchably selected in order, so that action of the selected controlled object is controlled by switches (121-123).COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】歯科治療においては、衛生上の問題で、できるだけ手を使わずに、足操作(フットコントローラ)によって歯科治療ユニットの被制御対象を操作したいという要求があるが、ユニット本体とフットコントローラとをコードで接続した場合、コード内の配線本数が増え、コード全体が太くなって、術者やアシスタントの足元の邪魔になる。【解決手段】発光素子201を有するフットコントローラ200と、受光素子101を有する歯科治療ユニット本体100とから成り、発光素子201と受光素子101との間で光通信可能となっている。フットコントローラ200は、切り替えスイッチ202を具備し、該切り替えスイッチ202を足操作で押下することにより、ユニット本体100側に設けられている被制御対象(歯科治療椅子1、うがい鉢3、無影灯4、・・・)等を順次切り替え選択し、選択された被制御対象の動作をスイッチ(121~123)で制御する。【選択図】図1
