The present invention relates to an automobile type divot repair device which is constituted in the form of an automobile to automatically move a divot repair tool to a work position, and which is located in a divot repair work position to move a divot tool actuator to an accurate work position by using a linear motion device, so as to automatically perform a divot repair work, and a divot repair method using the automobile type divot repair device. The automobile type divot repair device according to the present invention is characterized by including: a frame having a plurality of wheels that roll along the ground； a car body driving part which rolls the wheels； a position determining part which is forwards and backwards, longitudinally, and horizontally movable on the frame； a divot tool actuator, which is coupled to the position determining part to move in the longitudinal and forward/backward directions of the frame by the position determining part and which vertically moves to cut and remove grass in a divot mark position or eject and plant stored grass onto a divot mark of the ground； and a control part which controls operations of the car body driving part, the position determining part, and the divot tool actuator.본 발명은 자동차형으로 이루어져 디봇 보수 장비를 작업 위치로 자동으로 이동시킬 수 있으며, 디봇 보수 작업 위치에서 디봇 작동기를 선형운동장치를 이용하여 정확한 작업 위치로 이동시켜 디봇 보수 작업을 자동으로 수행할 수 있는 자동차형 디봇 보수장치 및 이를 이용한 디봇 보수 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 자동차형 디봇 보수장치는, 지면(地面)을 따라 구름 이동하는 복수개의 바퀴를 구비한 프레임과； 상기 바퀴를 구름 운동시키는 차체구동부와； 상기 프레임에 전후 및 좌우 방향으로 수평 이동 가능하게 설치된 위치결정부와； 상기 위치결정부에 결합되어 위치결정부에 의해 프레임의 전후 및 좌우 방향으로 이동하며, 상하로 이동하면서 디봇(divot) 위치에서 잔디를 절단하여 취출하거나, 보유하고 있는 잔디를 지면의 디봇 상으로 사출하여 식재하는 작업을 수행하는 디봇작동기와； 상기 차체구동부와 위치결정부 및 디봇작동기의 작동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
