The needle (10) according to the invention has a distal end (11), a proximal end (12) and a rod (13) which extends between them, and a tip (14) at its distal end (11). The needle (10) is provided with a safety device (20), the device being arranged so as to be able to slide by sliding on the rod (13) between a first position in the proximal region of the rod (13) and a second position to the distal end (11) of the rod. The safety device has a housing (21, 22) with a proximal opening (23) and a distal opening (24) for the passage of the rod of the needle, the tip (14) of the needle is situated inside the housing when the safety device is in the second position. The device comprises a closure device (30) which closes the distal opening (24) of the housing when the tip of needle is situated inside the housing.
