PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooler box which makes operation feeling of a lid body soft and allows the lid body to be surely closed.SOLUTION: A cooler box includes a locking mechanism 13. The locking mechanism 13 has an anchor 18 installed to a cooler body 11 and a hook 19 installed to a lid body 12. The anchor 18 is provided with U-shaped plate parts 23, 24, and the U-shaped plate parts 23, 24 have an elastic deformation part 26. The hook 19 is provided with an engaging pin 31. When the lid body 12 is closed, the engaging pin 31 abuts on the back surface 30 of the elastic deformation part 26. When an operation plate 33 is operated, a locking claw 28 installed to the operation plate 33 presses the elastic deformation part 26.
