PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the production of latex, which improves the productivity of latex in a mature tree (particularly, a young tree) that is said that yield efficiency is low, and can improve the output of the latex in the life of Hevea brasiliensis. SOLUTION: The method for increasing the production of latex includes a step of, with respect to Hevea brasiliensis in one to five years after afforestation, sticking a latex production increase agent, comprising one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of jasmonic acid and its derivatives as active constituents, to the trunk or stem thereof for ten months to one year and two months before the start of the harvest of latex.
