PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fruit juice beverage whose antioxidant function, flavor and taste, and appearance freshness are kept, and to provide a fruit juice beverage produced by the method.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a fruit juice beverage includes subjecting fruit juice to deoxidation via deaeration at high preheating temperature of 65-85°C in the presence of a reducing antioxidant under low pressure of -0.015 to -0.030 MPa in a production process of the fruit juice beverage to produce the fruit juice beverage whose antioxidant function, flavor and taste, and appearance freshness are kept. In the deoxidation treatment in the method, the reducing antioxidant includes at least one antioxidant selected from ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid salt, erythorbic acid and erythorbic acid salt, and a deaerator (deaerating device) may be used for the deaeration treatment.
