PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having excellent fitting property and a property for preventing a liquid leakage in which lowering of both these properties is difficult to occur while wearing.
SOLUTION: In the absorbent article having a substantially elongate absorbent body 5 having a front face sheet, a rear face sheet, and an absorbent body interposed between both the sheets and a pair of leakage preventing walls 6, 6 formed in both side of the absorbent body 5 in a longitudinal direction, the leakage preventing walls 6, 6 have highly raised portions in which elastic sheets form convex shapes projecting to a skin contacting face side and hollow cavities are formed in the same in an excrete portion area A arranged by facing a liquid excrete portion of a wearer in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, and have lowly raised portions having cross-sectional shapes in a width direction different from that of the highly raised portions and lower than the highly raised portions in the front side and/or the rear side of the excrete portion area.
