PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing liquid for a nasal cavity and a throat for adsorbing various germs, dust, pollen and the like inside a nasal cavity and a throat to wash them away substantially completely, reducing stimuli to a mucosal membrane in washing, having immediate effect for healing of mucomembranous inflammation, and keeping the mucosal membrane in sound condition for a long period.SOLUTION: The washing liquid for a nasal cavity and a throat is prepared by compounding 0.6-5% of a bamboo charcoal salt with average particle diameter of 0.01-1 &mum, oxidation-reduction potential of &le0 mV, and hydrogen ion concentration (pH) of &ge8.0 in water with hydrogen ion concentration (pH) of &ge6.0 and oxidation-reduction potential of &le300 mV. In the washing liquid, sodium concentration is 1500-13,000 mg/L, chloride ion concentration is 2,550-21,000 mg/L, and hydrogen ion concentration (pH) is &ge8.0.
