PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fumigation apparatus and a fumigation method, stably and quantitatively obtaining high concentration hydrogen phosphide gas in fumigation places, and wiping out pest insects for green plants, grains, woods and feeds within a short term without worrying about firing and with safety.SOLUTION: The fumigation apparatus comprises (I) an inert gas supplying means for supplying an inert gas to a hydrogen phosphide generating vessel, (II) a warm water supplying means for supplying warm water to the hydrogen phosphide generating vessel, and (III) a hydrogen phosphide generating means for comprising a hydrogen phosphide generating vessel, a pipe and a jet nozzle, and supplies warm water to react the phosphide metal compound with the warm water in the hydrogen phosphide generating vessel while supplying the inert gas into the hydrogen phosphide generating vessel, so as to jet out the obtained hydrogen phosphide-containing gas into a fumigation chamber and the fumigation method uses the apparatus.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明の目的は、燻蒸場所で高濃度のリン化水素ガスが安定的かつ定量的に得られ、発火の心配なく安全に、生植物、穀物、木材または飼料の害虫を短期間に死滅させることができる燻蒸装置および燻蒸方法を提供することにある。【解決手段】本発明は、(I)不活性ガスを、リン化水素発生槽に供給する不活性ガス供給手段、(II)温水を、リン化水素発生槽に供給する温水供給手段、並びに(III)リン化水素発生槽、導管および噴出ノズルを含むリン化水素発生手段、を含み、リン化水素発生槽内に不活性ガスを供給しつつ、温水を供給しリン化水素発生槽内のリン化金属化合物と温水とを反応させ、得られるリン化水素含有ガスを燻蒸室に噴出させる燻蒸装置および該装置を用いた燻蒸方法である。【選択図】図1
