PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfecting device capable of being introduced even for a small scale treating facility not capable of securing a wide installation space, also enabling that one worker can perform both of conveying-in and conveying-out works jointly and capable of performing the works in a good efficiency.SOLUTION: This disinfecting device 1 is equipped with a warm water-disinfecting vessel 3 for immersing seed rice in the warm water for disinfecting, a cooling vessel 4 for cooling the warm water-disinfected seed rice by immersing it in cold water and a conveying device 5 for conveying a plural number of seed rice-housing bags 6 housing the seed rice over the both vessels 3, 4, in which the plural number of seed rice-housing bags 6 is transferred from the inside of the warm water-disinfecting vessel 3 to the inside of the cooling vessel 4 by the conveying behavior of the device 5 and the warm water-disinfection and cooling of the seed rice are performed continuously.
