PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scatter-preventing device for preventing the scatter of small stones and the like flying on a worker and his periphery due to the rotation of a cutting blade during a work using a bush cutter, thus improving the safety of a bush-cutting work.SOLUTION: In the scatter-preventing device of a bush cutter, on the main pipe 3 of the bush cutter 1, a scatter-preventing cover 4 in which one end of a fly-protecting sheet 12 having a receiving surface (a) facing the rotation direction of a cutting blade 2 and inclined is swingably hung in a state crossing the main pipe 3 at least the cutting blade-close side of the fly-protecting sheet 12 is grounded in a cutting state and the free end side of the fly-protecting sheet 12 can be curved in the rotation center direction of the cutting blade 2.
