PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which can facilitate the management of an image forming apparatus and an air cleaner, can suppress power consumption and further does not damage the functions of the both image forming apparatus and air cleaner.
SOLUTION: A display unit of an air cleaner 71 is caused to display an operating state of the image forming apparatus 100 when the image forming apparatus 100 is set to a mode for economizing power. Therefore, when the image forming apparatus 100 is set to the mode for economizing power, there is no need of operating the display unit of the image forming apparatus 100, so that the power consumption of the display unit of the image forming apparatus 100 can be economized. Further, since not only an operating state of the image forming apparatus 100 but also an operating state of the air cleaner 71 are displayed on the display unit of the air cleaner 71, a user can grasp both operating states of the image forming apparatus 100 and the air cleaner 71 to facilitate the management of the both image forming apparatus 100 and the air cleaner 71.
