Method for providing a person (1) with information about his/her spatial orientation relative to a place with a vertical direction (3) defined by gravity, comprising the steps of: a) measuring a value of at least one orientation parameter (8b, 8c) of a part of the persons body with respect to the vertical direction and b) providing the person with a visual indication of the vertical direction using the value measured in step a).Linvention porte sur un procédé pour fournir à une personne (1) des informations concernant son orientation spatiale par rapport à un endroit avec une direction verticale (3) définie par gravité, lequel procédé comprend les étapes consistant à : a) mesurer une valeur dau moins un paramètre dorientation (8b, 8c) dune partie du corps de la personne par rapport à la direction verticale et b) fournir à la personne une indication visuelle de la direction verticale à laide de la valeur mesurée dans létape a).
