PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal skin cleansing agent containing a biosurfactant that can permeate a horny layer and can increase a horny moisture content of skin after cleansing.SOLUTION: An animal cleansing agent contains a biosurfactant. The biosurfactant is, preferably, a compound having a mannose skeleton represented by the following formula, with a hydroxy group at 1-position forming a glycoside bond with a sugar alcohol.
