A device for dispensing an air treatment chemical includes a housing having an inlet for permitting air to enter into an interior space of the housing and an outlet for permitting air mixed with air treatment chemical to exit the interior space of the housing. A substrate positioned within the housing bears the air treatment chemical. A power supply mounted within the housing powers a motor mounted within the housing. The motor is connected to an impeller mounted within the housing. The impeller moves air from the inlet adjacent the substrate to mix the air treatment chemical into the moving air and deliver the mixture of air and air treatment chemical through the outlet to outside of the housing. The housing includes a transitional body defining a convergent-divergent channel for compressing the mixture at the converging section and expanding the mixture at the diverging section.Linvention concerne un dispositif de diffusion dun produit chimique de traitement de lair comprenant un logement pourvu dun orifice dadmission pour permettre à lair de pénétrer dans un espace intérieur du logement et dun orifice dévacuation pour permettre à lair mélangé au produit chimique de traitement de lair de sortir de lespace intérieur du logement. Un substrat positionné dans le logement prend en charge le produit chimique de traitement de lair. Une alimentation électrique montée dans le logement excite un moteur monté dans ledit logement. Le moteur est raccordé à une roue montée dans le logement. La roue déplace lair depuis lorifice dadmission adjacent au substrat afin de mélanger le produit chimique à lair en déplacement et de diffuser le mélange dair et de produit chimique de traitement de lair par lorifice dévacuation vers lextérieur du logement. Le logement comprend un corps intermédiaire définissant un canal convergent-divergent pour comprimer le mélange au niveau de la section convergente et dilater le mélange au niveau de la section divergente.
