A surgical suction device including: a) a housing defining an internal chamber and including: i) an inlet for receiving material extracted from a subject via a hollow tip including one or more suction openings for receiving the materials from a surgical site on the subject and, ii) an outlet for coupling the housing to a suction source to allow material to be drawn therethrough and, b) a mixing apparatus including one or more mixing members positioned inside the chamber for agitating material passing through the chamber from the inlet to the outlet in use to thereby prevent the material clogging the outlet.Linvention concerne un dispositif daspiration chirurgical comprenant : a) un corps définissant une chambre interne et comprenant : i) un orifice dadmission destiné à recevoir une substance extraite dun sujet par lintermédiaire dune extrémité creuse comprenant au moins un orifice daspiration destiné à recevoir les substances provenant dun site chirurgical sur le sujet ii) et un orifice dévacuation permettant daccoupler le corps à une source daspiration afin de pouvoir y aspirer la substance et b) un appareil de mélange comprenant au moins un élément de mélange positionné à lintérieur de la chambre pour agiter la substance traversant la chambre de lorifice dadmission à lorifice dévacuation, en utilisation, afin dempêcher la substance dobstruer lorifice dévacuation.
