PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment method of spot welding chip which can further elongate the life of a chip by suppressing consumption of the chip.SOLUTION: An alignment method of a spot welding chip 6 includes: an alignment process of aligning a raw material part 601 constituting a chip 6 such that the raw material part 601 is caused to flow from a curve surface shaped lateral surface 62 to the tip side; and an integration process of softening or melting foil-shaped raw material part 602 which is caused to flow to the tip side and, thereby, integrating the raw material part 602 with the chip 6. In the integration process, a metal plate 4 having a melting point higher than the melting point of the chip 6 is held by the chip 6 fitted by a pair of electrode parts of the spot welding gun and the electricity is conducted between a pair of chips 6 via a metal plate 4 by an electricity conducting device.
