The present invention relates to a method for reducing a toxic substance in Korean aconite root comprising: (S1) a step for harvesting, drying and grinding Korean aconite root； (S2) a step for treating the ground Korean aconite root using steam； (S3) a step for cooling the steam-treated Korean aconite root； and (S4) a step for fermenting the Korean aconite root by inoculating 1 to 10% (w/v) of culture solution, which is obtained by mixing Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus natto Sawamura in the weight ratio of 1:2 or 2:1 and then culturing, per total volume of the Korean aconite root. According to the method for reducing a toxic substance in Korean aconite root, the toxic substance aconitine can be significantly reduced without a decrease in active ingredients of the Korean aconite root so as to obtain a Korean aconite root product with useful effects and a significantly reduced toxic substance, thereby being expected to be useful in the relevant field.본 발명은 초오의 독성물질을 감소시키는 방법에 관한 것으로, (S1) 초오를 수확하여 건조 및 분쇄하는 단계； (S2) 상기 분쇄된 초오를 증기 스팀 처리하는 단계； (S3) 상기 증기 스팀 처리된 초오를 식히는 단계； 및 (S4) 상기 식힌 초오를 바실러스 서브틸리스(Bacillus subtilis) 균주 및 바실러스 나토(Bacillus natto Sawamura) 균주를 1:2 내지 2:1의 중량비로 혼합하여 배양한 배양액을 상기 초오의 총 부피에 대하여 1 내지 10%(w/v)의 양으로 접종하여 초오를 발효시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 초오의 독성물질을 감소시키는 방법에 따르면, 초오의 유효성분의 감소없이 독성물질인 아코니틴의 함량을 유의적으로 감소시킬 수 있어 초오의 유용한 효능을 가지면서도 독성물질의 함량이 대폭 감소된 초오 산물을 수득하여 당분야에서 유용하게 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
