PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volatilization device that allows suction wicks to be easily inserted and spillage to be minimized when the device is overturned.SOLUTION: An upper sloping surface 83 which is sloped toward an external peripheral direction, as it goes upward, is formed in the external peripheral part of an opening 81 of a retained element 15 where the suction wick 19 is inserted. This allows the suction wicks 19 to be guided to the opening 81 along the upper sloping surface 83 in the event that the suction wicks 19 interferes with the upper sloping surface 83 of the opening 81, and the opening 81 to be reduced in size to one allowing insertion of a predetermined number of the suction wicks 19. The opening area of the opening 81 can thereby be kept to a minimum without making it more difficult to insert the suction wicks 19 into the opening 81.
