A composition for increasing the bioavailability of drugs in humans and animals comprising a microemulsion further comprising a first emulsifier, a second emulsifier, and an oil wherein the emulsifiers have individual HLB values of between about 10 and about 30, are in a ratio ranging from about 1:1 to about 4:1 and, the first and second emulsifier combination and oil are in a ratio of about 99:1 to about 9:1.
