PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligature device improving bendability of a ligature device and enabling the opening/closing operation of the arms of a clip with a simple configuration thereby improving bending operability of the ligature device and allowing easy re-positioning of the grasp thereof on somatic tissue and to provide a clip unit used therein.SOLUTION: A clip unit 13 includes: a clip body 35 having a pair of openable/closable arms 41, and a base end 39 that connects the base ends of the arms 41 and a squeezing ring 37 that accommodates the clip body 35 with the pair of arms 41 closed. A plurality of the clip units 13 are disposed in series inside the distal end of an outer sheath member 19. Joint surfaces 37b and 37c of the end faces of the squeezing ring 37 are formed into an arcuate shape respectively in an axially vertical view of the squeezing ring 37, and the squeezing ring 37 is bendable within a plane parallel to the axial direction.
