PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparatively inexpensive conveying device by a simple structure capable of preventing an article to be conveyed from sliding or rolling in the conveying device.SOLUTION: A conveying device equipped with an endless conveyor belt that conveys an article to be conveyed intermittently includes, in the conveyor belt, a vertical movement plate that moves the conveyor belt vertically and a conveyor plate that supports the conveyor belt horizontally. The conveying device has, outside the conveyor belt, a vertical movement roller that moves vertically in conjunction with the vertical movement plate below a place between the vertical movement plate and the conveyor plate. The conveying device further includes an up-and-down device that moves the vertical movement plate vertically and moves the vertical movement roller vertically by a distance half the distance of the vertical movement of the vertical movement plate.
