A cartridge for an electronic cigarette includes a cartridge carrier having a liquid storage chamber, an adjusting member, a cartridge base, and an elastic member. The liquid intake member is received in the cartridge carrier and defining a second liquid intake hole fluidly communicating with the liquid storage chamber. The adjusting member has a communicating portion and a sealing portion. The cartridge base is positioned on an end of the cartridge carrier； and the elastic member is received in the cartridge base. An end of the elastic member elastically resists the adjusting member, an opposite end of the elastic member elastically resists the cartridge base to enable the sealing portion to seal the second liquid intake hole.
