The present invention relates to an extract of Angelica keiskei prepared by using enzymatic hydrolysis and a method for preparing the same and, more specifically, to an extract of Angelica keiskei which is prepared by hydrolyzing Angelica keiskei using an enzyme to increase the recovery rate in the extraction of insoluble substances. The extract of Angelica keiskei according to the present invention has a pharmacological activity, particularly, effects of suppressing sebum secretion, preventing and treating pimples, preventing hair loss, and promoting hair growth compared with the existing extraction method. Further, components that are hardly extracted by an existing extraction method can be extracted, thereby improving the extracting efficiency and providing now efficacy and functionality. That is, it was verified that the extract of Angelica keiskei alone prepared by the existing general hot-water extraction or organic solvent extraction method did not show effects of suppressing sebum secretion, preventing and treating pimples, preventing hair loss, and promoting hair growth, but the extract of Angelica keiskei prepared by the enzymatic hydrolysis method according to the present invention reduces activity of PPAR-gamma influencing the maturation of sebum cells, thereby suppressing sebum production and inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase.
