To provide an apparatus capable of efficiently producing a thick kiritampo.SOLUTION: An apparatus 100 for producing kiritampo includes a cylindrical part 2a, a screw 9 for conveying rice while kneading the rice in the cylindrical part 2a, an outer cylinder 11 fixed to the end of the cylindrical portion 2a on the side where the cooked rice is conveyed along with the common central axis line between the cylindrical portion 2a and the outer cylinder 11, a cylindrical mandrel 13 extending from the inside of the outer cylinder 11 to the outside of the outer cylinder 11 opposite to the screw 9 and extending substantially parallel to the central axis of the cylindrical portion 2a, a cylindrical inner diameter adjusting die 14 externally fitted to a mandrel 13 in the outer cylinder 11, an annular outer diameter die 15 internally fitted to the end of the outer cylinder 11 on the opposite side of the cylindrical part 2a in the central axis direction of the cylindrical part 2a.
