PROCESS FOR GELLING AND COLOURING ASEPTIC CULTURE MEDIA INTENDED FOR IN VITRO GROWTH OF PHYTOINOCULI USING HYDRATED POLYACRYLAMIDE AS GRANULES OR SPHERES
The invention relates to a process for gelling and colouring aseptic culture media intended for in-vitro growth of phytoinoculi, using as an agar-agar substitute polyacrylamide particles or spheres of various colours, having the capacity of bloating in the presence of water and, thereby, of increasing in volume. The said material can be sterilized by autoclaving at 120°C together with the rest of components of the culture medium, is gelled by cooling and can be inoculated with vegetable explants which can be grown under sterile conditions. The so inoculated coloured gels produce a special aesthetic effect and can be successfully commercialized at much lower prices than those prepared with agar-agar as a culture medium.Prezenta invenţie se referă la un procedeu de gelificare şi colorare a mediilor de cultură aseptice, destinate creşteriia fitoinoculilor, utilizând, ca înlocuitor de agar-agar, particule sau sfere de poliacrilamidă variat colorate, având capacitatea de a se îmbiba în prezenţa apei, crescând în volum. Acest material poate fi sterilizat prin autoclavare la 120°C, împreună cu restul componentelor din mediul de cultură, se gelifică prin răcire şi poate fi inoculat cu explante vegetale ce pot fi crescute în condiţii de sterilitate. Gelurile colorate astfel inoculate au un efect estetic deosebit şi pot fi comercializate cu succes la un preţ mult mai mic decât cele obţinute utilizând, ca mediu de cultură, agar-agar.
