The present invention is related to the compounds: N-[4-phenyl-(imidazo-2-yl)]-hexanamide of formula (I) and N-[4-phenyl-(imidazo-2-yl)]-nonamide of formula (II) and process for obtaining the same. These compounds are obtained by a two-step process: the first step includes the acylation of the 4-aminobenzonitrile with the hexanoic and nonanoic acids and thionyl chloride in a DMA for obtaining the amides of formulas (III) and (IV) in quantitative yield. The second step includes a cyclization, which is performed by a reaction with ethylenediamine and carbon disulfide. The two compounds have been evaluated against Chromobacterium violaceum and it was observed that both compounds reduced the production of violacein, which production involves antiquorum sensing activity.La presente invención se relación con los compuestos N-[4-fenyl-(imidazo-2-il)]-hexanamida de fórmula (I) y N-[4-fenil-(imidazo-2-il)]-nonamida de fórmula (II) y su proceso de obtención. Estos compuestos se obtienen mediante un proceso en dos pasos: en el primer paso se lleva a cabo una acilación del 4-aminobenzonitrilo con los ácidos hexanoico y nonanoico y cloruro de tionilo en DMA para obtener las amidas de fórmulas (III) y (IV) en rendimiento cuantitativo. La segunda etapa es una ciclización la cual se lleva a cabo mediante una reacción con etilendiamina y disulfuro de carbono. Los dos compuestos han sido evaluados frente a Chromobacterium violaceum y se observó que ambos compuestos disminuyen la producción de violaceína, cuya producción implica actividad antiquorum sensing.
