PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing system that can be downsized while maintaining high sensing efficiency.SOLUTION: A sensing system 1 comprises: a sheet-like medium 2 and an electrode 3 that is provided in a form of penetrating the sheet-like medium. The sheet-like medium 2 includes: a sheet-like dielectric layer 21 a front surface conductive layer 22 a rear surface conductive layer 24 a first protective layer 25 that is formed on a front surface of the rear surface conductive layer 24 and a second protective layer 23 that is formed on a front surface of the front surface conductive layer 22.
