The invention discloses a method for cleaning or sanitization of an affinity chromatography matrix, comprising the steps of: a) providing an affinity chromatography matrix having oxidation-tolerant proteinaceous ligands coupled to a support, b) contacting the matrix with a sanitization solution comprising at least one oxidant defined by formula I, R—O—O—H (I) wherein R is hydrogen or an acyl group R′—C(O)—, with R′ being a hydrogen or a methyl, ethyl or propyl group.L'invention concerne un procédé pour le nettoyage ou la désinfection d'une matrice de chromatographie d'affinité, comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) fournir une matrice de chromatographie d'affinité ayant des ligands protéiques tolérants à l'oxydation couplée à un support, b) mettre la matrice en contact avec une solution de désinfection comprenant au moins un oxydant défini par la formule I, R – O – O – H (I) où R est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe acyle R '-C (O) -, R' étant un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe méthyle, éthyle ou propyle.
