A substance delivery device is disclosed for delivering a substance from a container. The device comprises a body (2), and a plunger (40) which is movable with respect to the body (2) so as to expel at least a portion of a substance from a container (24), a trigger mechanism (52), a latch member (110) latched in a stationary position at least along the longitudinal axis of the device before use, and a lockout shroud (100) being moveable along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch mechanism (110). User manipulation of the trigger mechanism (52) causes the latch mechanism (110) to become unlatched and able to move along the longitudinal axis and to cause movement of a plunger (40) relative to the body (2), and in a first position of the lockout shroud (100) along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch member (110), the lockout shroud (100) prevents the trigger mechanism (52) from unlatching the latch member (110), whereas in a second position the lockout shroud (100) allows the trigger mechanism (52) to unlatch the latch member (110).L'invention concerne un dispositif de distribution de substance destiné à distribuer une substance depuis un récipient.
