A metal for a dental porcelain firing process includes between 60wt% and 62wt% cobalt, between 25wt% and 30wt% chromium, between 5wt% and 8wt% molybdenum, and less than 10wt% another element. The another element is tungsten, iron or a mixture of both. Embodiments also disclose a dental prosthesis which includes a metallic inner crown fabricated with said metal and a ceramic outer crown joining with a top surface of the metallic inner crown. The disclosure relates to improvement of the bonding strength between the metallic inner crown and the ceramic outer crown.
