PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subcutaneous fat thickness meter accurately measuring the subcutaneous fat thickness of different parts to be measured of a subject.SOLUTION: The subcutaneous fat thickness meter comprises an apparatus main body 4 provided with a light emitting part 2 and a light receiving part 3 as an optical type subcutaneous fat thickness detection means, and two or more kinds of attachments 5a-5c freely detachably attachable to the apparatus main body 4. The respective attachments 5a-5c have a contact surface part 11 to be in contact with the part 7 to be measured of the subject. The shape of the contact surface part 11 of the respective attachments 5a-5c corresponds to an optional part 7 to be measured differently for the respective attachments 5a-5c.
