PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut formation auxiliary tool enabling even a cook who is not accustomed to making bread requiring a cut to be formed to form a cut on bread dough appropriately.SOLUTION: A cut formation auxiliary tool 1 includes: a pattern body 2 arranged above bread dough placed on a placement base such as a tray; and three slit holes 4 formed in the pattern body 2 and formed in a shape of a cut. For example, a cook arranges the cut formation auxiliary tool 1 so that the pattern body 2 is positioned above the bread dough, sprinkles edible power to a surface of the patter body 2, and causes the edible powder to stick to the bread dough through the three slit holes 4.
