A wearable robot may comprise: a robot unit including machinery configured to assist a wearers muscular strength at least one first sensor provided on the wearers knees and configured to detect the wearers motion of pressing the wearers knees and/or a controller configured to judge whether or not the wearer intends to stand up based on information detected using the at least one first sensor, and configured to transmit a control signal to assist corresponding muscular strength to the robot unit upon judging that the wearer intends to stand up.
