Moist or pasty organic waste materials, e.g. frozen finely-divided black peat or fresh or digested sewage sludge, opt. ppted. with flocculating agents and opt. heat-treated, are processed by adjusting their water content to 20-50%, pref. mixing with Thomas meal and opt. other nutrient salts with the addn. of a binder,esp. molasses residue or sulphite waste liquor, granulating, and drying the granules to a final water content of 10-15%. The products are soil-improving agents and fodder additives.
